Rothschild’s sculpture, made from industrial materials either Plexiglas, leather, wood or tiles, elaborate of the formal vocabulary of 60’s art while resonating with symbolic and pictorial meanings. Signifiers from countercultures, protest and fetishes function to reflect on the reasons why certain objects amount to more than just their purely material properties. Rothschild has had solo exhibitions at Douglas Hyde Gallery Dublin, Ireland in 2005 and in 2004 at the Kunsthalle Zurich. Her work has been included in the 2006 Tate Triennial: New British Art, Tate Britain, London, the British Art Show 6, 2005 a touring group exhibition, and in the 54th Carnegie International, 2004.
