A.I.R Gallery is pleased to announce Generations 6, an invitational exhibition of small works by women artists. The exhibition includes a fundraising collaboration with CODEPINK, Women for Peace.
The Generations exhibition series began in 1997 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of
A.I.R. Gallery and continues as a biennial event. Founded in 1972, A.I.R. is the first artist-run, not-for-profit gallery for women artists in the country. The Generations Series is a celebration of the continuity of the artist-run nature of A.I.R.
CODEPINK is a women-initiated grassroots peace and social justice movement working to end the war in Iraq, stop new wars, and redirect our resources into healthcare, education and other life-affirming activities A silent auction, held for the duration of the show, will benefit CODEPINK and A.I.R. Participating artists are invited by the
A.I.R. Gallery artists. All work is available through a silent auction for the duration of the exhibition. 70% of all sales go to the participating artists and 30% to CODEPINK and
A.I.R. Gallery. Bidding ends at 4pm on Saturday, March 1st.
