Jean-Daniel Bouvard, with an opening reception on December 6th. Bouvard’s thoughtfully composed works of sky, sea, figures and architecture display quiet intersections of the natural world and the occasional wandering figure deep in some internal conversation. Marked by muted colors and the same silent narrative spoken by his somewhat mentor Hopper, the actions of wave, water and wind provide the dialogue for the small, self-reflective, shadowy characters.
