Artist book program: Led Almost By My Tie Twelve poems by Jeremy Sigler Images & one poem by Jessica Stockholder in collaboration with Ruth Lingen Picture Books 2007
This book is the result of a two year collaboration between Jeremy Sigler, Jessica Stockholder & Ruth Lingen. The images were made using lithography, letterpress, digital images, transfers and collage & hand coloring. The lithographs were drawn directly onto aluminum plates by the artist. Of the edition of 30, there is a deluxe edition of 15 books which include a wall-mounted artwork by Jessica Stockholder.
Jeremy Sigler is a poet living in Brooklyn. He is the New York Associate Editor of Parkett and was a recent awardee of the Lannan Foundation’s literacy program in Marfa, Texas. Jessica Stockholder is the Director of the Sculpture Department at Yale University. Stockholder has exhibited extensively here and in Europe including The DIA Foundation in NYC; The Blaffer Art Gallery at the University of Houston; CAPC Musee d’Art Contemporain, and the Kunstmuseum in St. Gallen. Printmaker Ruth Lingen has collaborated with many artists including Robert Ryman, Chuck Close, Mary Heilmann, and Kiki Smith. Her works can be found in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum, The Getty Museum and The Brooklyn Museum, as well as over 20 libraries.
