CRG Gallery invites you to the second screening in the CRG Open Video Series. ! DECAMERON, a group screening curated by artist Yasue Maetake, highlights the influences and inspirations that she shares with some of her contemporaries. While their working methods may differ, the selected artists each focus on the hidden side of reality, channeling dormant impulses through the moving-image. In the process, traditional narratives give way to allusive forms of storytelling, built around unconventional notions of cinematography and time.

The Open Video Series is ongoing with an invitational and proposal-based programming format. Each screening is programmed / curated by a new artist or curator. This series hopes to offer a unique venue and forum for single-channel video work in a traditional theater-based viewing or cinematic form.
