In her continuing series of works on paper and canvas, the DARKNESS and LIGHT project explores THE WORLD AFTER 9/11. Schaller’s use of simple line within layers of color amongst ellipses and rectangles suspended in space evoke a metaphysical journey of the psyche and the altered inner landscape of a changed people. Her images ask us to question our perceptions of reality and the world around us.
