We are pleased to announce Fade Away and Radiate, a group exhibition including the work of 6 artists based in Oslo, Paris, Vancouver and Zurich.

The exhibition title is appropriated from a 1978 Blondie song, whose words describe an abstract, cerebral and sensual experience. The song's title combines the usually contradictory themes of absence and presence, disintegration and embodiment. In the same manner, each artist's work in this show represents a celebration of pictorial creation through dissolution.

Matias Faldbakken (b. 1973, based in Oslo) makes sculptures, installations and photographs that address the intersection of violence and entertainment culture, with a particular interest in the impossibility of meaning and the absurd. This will be Faldbakken's US gallery debut. He represented Norway in the 2005 Venice Biennale, and has been included in museum exhibitions in New York, Munich, Oslo, Berlin and Amsterdam, Sydney and Marseille among others.

Petra Mrzyk & Jean-Francois Moriceau (b. 1973/1974, based in Chatillon, France) collaborate on drawings that range from small scale works on paper, to monumental wall drawings and installations. Their exquisite line drawings build a personal visual language based in surrealism that recall the likes of R. Crumb and Raymond Pettibone. Their last exhibition in the US was a solo show at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art.

Mark Soo (b. 1980, based in Vancouver) makes sculptures, photographs and installations that effect a subtle social critique, and reflect an interest in utopian ideals, music and youth culture. Here he will exhibit a group of works made in collaboration with Elizabeth Zvonar (b. 1972, based in Vancouver) that include sculpture and photographs inspired by Yogic practice.

Uwe Wittwer (b. 1954, based in Zurich) will also make his New York gallery debut with this exhibition. His paintings and works on paper are based on interpretations of old master paintings and found photographs, rendered in a dissolving touch and restrained palette that recall faded memories. His most recent exhibitions include solo shows at the Kunstmuseum Solothurn, Ludwigforum Aachen and the Kunsthalle Winterthur, all of which were accompanied by catalogues.
