Cristinerose Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of new paintings by JASON YOUNG.
For the past several years,
Jason Young has worked with epoxy resin creating distinct, translucent color-field paintings. Young’s most recent works demonstrate a further evolution in this unique medium. Using various resins, pigments and metals to create a mercurial mutated medium, Young transforms his paintings into high-tech minimal “trompe-l’oeuil.”
Working in both painting and sculpture, Young has been included in museum shows such as “Paintings that Paint Themselves” in Detroit, in Michigan; “Materiality” at the Kresge Art Museum in East Lansing, Michigan; and “Paint on Metal” at the Tucson Museum of Art, in Tucson, Arizona which included the works of Frank Stella, Robert Raushenberg, John Baldessari, John Chamberlain, and Alexander Calder, to name a few.
His work has been widely exhibited in the United States, Canada, Mexico, Italy, Spain and Korea.
