Denise Bibro Fine Art, at 529 West 20th Street, on the 4th floor, is pleased to announce the opening of Winter Salon: Gallery & Invited Artists.
The exhibition features 32 artists working in myriad aesthetic, conceptual, and technical modes. Ten of the participating artists are represented exclusively by
Denise Bibro Fine Art (denoted below with an asterisk), while the remaining artists were selected by curators Denise Bibro, Almitra Stanley, and Olympia Lambert.
The exhibition encompasses figurative, realist, abstract, and conceptual work, and includes oils, acrylics, sculpture, stained glass, photography, and video. Although the show was not intentionally thematically organized, several themes surface and resurface in these diverse works: trepidation, danger, and loss; meditations on landscape, nature, and the botanical; as well as work exploring materials and process.
