Richard Orient
Richard Orient paints the landscape of Eastern Long Island, and with this current show, "Landscapes," continues his keen observation of the natural elements of that locale. The famous light and air of the region is observed and captured in a series of paintings where sky and light and their effect on the varying terrain, dominate.
David Lyle
David Lyle paints nostalgic renderings of old photographs he encounters. Making use of a black and sepia color palette, the artist recreates the mood and flavors that seem to be intrinsically reminiscent of mid- twentieth century America.
Trace Drury
Trace Drury’s intimate scale paintings of toys are whimsical depictions of the artist’s ongoing imaginary narratives. Each palm-sized panel, illustrating a toy posed against a wood background, serves as a character in her tale. The artist states, “I have all these stories in my head, these little vignettes...I like to think of these small paintings as visual bedtime stories. Some are simple and sweet, some silly, and some are a bit on the dark side, as all good bedtime tales should be.”
