PRESS RELEASE:
The word of nature and format has the contrary meaning with each other. While the nature seeks for the new changes by the means of circulating, the new transition is accomplished through the ‘format’ process in the coded digital system. The format commonly represents the jobs to delete the existing data to record the new data or to designate the form and is the symbolized word as well meaning the digital code deleted only with simple operation of switch.

The digital revolution of 21st fast changes creates and extinguishes the more specific and subdivided electrical code in our life. However, on the contrary, the it is difficult to perform the perfect format with ‘nature’. It is in the form of format, as every planting enters into its ‘rest cycle’ before pushing out sprout. Like this, the format of the creation and extinguishment the disaster gave us is in more wide meaning. It has probably interpreted as the accumulated and organic properties unlike the digitalized extinguishment. Perhaps the format of the nature has the same meaning with the Winter preparing for Spring.

This ‘Nature- Format) New York Exhibition’ is to visualize our various ‘Creation and Extinguishment’ images and meaning as the human being in terms of the analogue sculpture behavior (Combination of shape and painting substantially through the pigment and painting) and to extensively show a lot of traces which are easily disappeared from us. The individual shape made by the various artists with strong personality will offer you with the originality as the precious meaning to the ‘creation’ itself.
