International Print Center New York announces the presentation of New Prints 2000-2006--A Benefit Exhibition opening in our Chelsea gallery on September 21st and running through October 18th, 2006. Celebrating the first six years of IPCNY’s New Prints Program, the exhibition will consist of a selection of recent prints by artists whose work has been exhibited in the New Prints Program. All artists included in the exhibition have been recognized by New Prints Selection Committees made up of prominent curators, critics, artists, master printers, publishers, and collectors, such as Dan Cameron, Leslie Garfield, Agnes Gund, David Kiehl, Samantha Rippner, Amy Sillman, Kiki Smith, Robert Storr, Richard Tuttle, Susan Sollins, Jessica Stockholder, Terry Winters and Deborah Wye, to name just a few. A complete list of New Prints Selections Committee members is available on
www.ipcny.org
All prints included in New Prints 2000-2006 are being generously donated to IPCNY by artists and publishers, and will be sold to benefit IPCNY’s programs.
New Prints 2000-2006 will reflect the richness and variety of the New Prints Program featuring original prints by artists at all stages of their careers, from those just beginning to exhibit their work, to mid-career and established artists. Some examples of New Prints artists to date are Polly Apfelbaum,

For the first time at IPCNY, all prints on exhibit will be available for purchase in an ongoing silent auction. Proceeds will be used to benefit IPCNY’s programs. This event will give collectors an opportunity to purchase superior original artists’ prints at a range of affordable prices (minimum starting bids will begin around $100) and to support a growing non-profit organization. Images and bidding information on all prints in the exhibition will be available on
www.ipcny.org.
IPCNY’s New Prints Program, an ongoing series of exhibitions of brand new prints presented four times each season in our Chelsea gallery, has significantly impacted the field of printmaking by bringing to the public a range of excellent new work from an astounding diversity of sources. With the opening of this space in September 2000, IPCNY created a permanent, non-commercial open venue for artists, emerging and established, to exhibit their most recent print projects. Hundreds of exceptional contemporary prints have been presented, illustrating a wide variety of print techniques from etchings on paper, to three dimensional and site-specific work, to the most current digital processes. By establishing this unique and ongoing forum for exhibiting prints by artists at all stages of their careers, IPCNY moves forward with its mission to enlarge audiences for the visual arts.
