The
Kravets/Wehby Gallery is pleased to announce THE INCOMPLETE INCOMPLETE, a group exhibition of new work by Sydney
Chastain-Chapman,
Benjamin Edwards,
Manuel Esnoz,
Wendell Gladstone,
Ridley Howard,
Chris Johanson,
Charlie Roberts,
Christian Schumann and
Aya Uekawa.
The exhibition opens Thursday September 13, with a reception from 6-8 pm and runs through October 20, 2007.
THE INCOMPLETE INCOMPLETE fractures perception in a manner that is as unique as each artist in the exhibition. The show continues the ideas set forth in the large-scale exhibition, THE INCOMPLETE, at the Chelsea Art Museum. THE INCOMPLETE INCOMPLETE focuses on the most recent work by each artist created specifically for this exhibition. These artists uphold the spirit of a break in emerging art that began in the mid-eighties and continues today. The break represents an ever-incomplete resistance to closure in both the physicality and subject of artistic practice.
THE INCOMPLETE INCOMPLETE coincides with THE INCOMPLETE exhibition curated by Manon Slome and Hubert Neumann at the Chelsea Art Museum opening September 29, 2007 and running through January 12, 2008.
