NY Studio Gallery is pleased to present Art CAMP 2007, an interactive studio & exhibition experience in the heart of Chelsea. The Second International Art CAMP is a group of six international artists working together in an open studio setting at NY Studio Gallery over the course of six weeks. Artists are encouraged to work in any medium they desire, from painting, drawing, video, digital art or sculpture, to transforming the space through painting a mural, creating an installation in the NY Studio Gallery space, or even scheduling performances.

Jeong-Sook Lee was born in South Korea. In 1990, Jeong entered Ewha Womans University, in Seoul. She has a B.F.A. and a M.F.A. in Fine Arts from Ewha. During that time she had many group shows in Seoul and Inchon and her first solo exhibition in Inchon. She moved to California in 2000 and is currently living and working in New York City. She is a participating working artist at the NY Studio Gallery.

Jacqueline Staikos was born in France and has lived most of her life in Canada. Ms. Staikos, an abstract expressionist, has been a working artist for the past ten years. Her preferred mediums are oils and mixed media. Her work has been exhibited in solo, group and juried shows in galleries in Trenton, Belleville, Cobourg, Colborne, Campbellford, Brighton, Warkworth, Wellington, Kingston and the Distillery District of Toronto.

Jean François Dareths was born in Nimes, France. At the age of 20 he studied Architecture at the School of Bordeaux. In 1996, he founded the Graphic Studio JFD where he is the Artistic Director. His work has been exhibited in Arc En Reve CAPC, Museum of Bordeaux (Modern Museum of Art). Since 1998, he has been a lecturer at Bordeaux University, teaching ergonomics and interactive style. He alters his photography, rebuilding the nature of the image and our perspective of it. He recently had an exhibition in Paris, France on 2007.

Massimiliano Favilli is a visual artist, based in Piombino, Italy. He became interested in photography by observing and appreciating his father's work. As a professional photographer, he experiments with photography and canvas processes challenging the technical and theoretical traditions that characterise photography. Favilli has participated in group exhibitions in Florence, Italy.

J.J. Hahn is a Korean born artist. She received her BFA from the University of Denver and MFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Upon graduation she moved back to Korea to teach. While she resided in Korea, she also managed and directed her own non-profit art gallery, Gallery JJ, to support emerging artists from Korea and other countries. She currently resides in New Jersey. Hahn has exhibited throughout the West Coast and in galleries in New York and New Jersey.

Gail Shaw-Clemons was born in Washington, DC and received her Masters’ Degree in printmaking from the University of Maryland. She has exhibited extensively, with many works included in public and private collections in the USA, Brazil, Norway, Sweden, Bei-Jing and Ireland. Shaw-Clemons is also an art instructor at the United Nations International School in New York. Her imagery floats in an artificial world, perhaps from her past or future. It is her belief that her expressions come from a freedom that her ancestors never knew here in America. The survival and resilience of life is by far her greatest inspiration.
