NY Studio Gallery is pleased to present Linked, a collection of seven artists creating a multimedia installation to support Team Revolution. Team Revoltuion is a non-profit community based outreach center located in Canarsie, Brooklyn. Its mission is to change the lives of youth through after-school programs based on youth leadership, hip-hop and community responsibility. Programs such as the Youth Leadership program help provide a creative outlet, and instill strong leadership skills and self determination.
Team Revolution was founded by recording artist Divine Bradlley, a role model for the Polo Jeans GIVE campaign (Get involved. Volunteer. Exceed.) and subject of a planned documentary entitled “The Hip Hop Project.” Team Revolution organizes a variety of events to bring generations together and create cultural awareness, including organizing community beautification projects, painting murals, and holding fundraising events such as talent showcases, HIF/AIDS awareness campaigns, educational forums, block parties and educational trips.
The Linked goal is to exhibit evocative work that has a sublime effect on the audience. Sales from the show help benefit Team Revolution’s growth and progress toward its goal to create a national presence.
