National Museum of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender History

The mission of the Center’s museum program is to provide space for artwork that celebrates the diversity of LGBT life and to support the work of emerging queer artists. Since mounting its first exhibition in June 1989, the Center museum has presented numerous exhibitions. In 2001, the Center opened the Campbell Soady Gallery, named in honor of major donors William Campbell and William Soady, who made a bequest to create an art gallery in our newly renovated home.
