Elaine Lustig Cohen has worn many hats during her long career-as a painter, printmaker, graphic designer, typographer, collagist and sculptor, as well as art dealer and collector. The foundations of her training and early experience are in Modernism, but she has learned from and responded to all aspects of art history. In a collaboration between Julie Saul Gallery and Pavel Zoubok Gallery, we will present a survey of Lustig Cohen's work beginning with large geometric abstract paintings, and including collage, reliefs, typographic design, with examples from many projects and periods, and work that has never been exhibited before. A catalog will be published with an essay by Trevor Winkfield.

Ms. Lustig Cohen, now 80, had a successful career as a graphic designer before turning to painting in the mid-1960s.
