This summer Stellan Holm Gallery is where the girls are. Our summer group show, Double X-rated, include works by Francesca Gabbiani, Joy Garnett, Noel Grunwaldt, Katrin Sigurdardottir, and Ulrika Minami Warmling. Ulrika Minami Warmling was born in Uppsala, Sweden in 1970. She graduated from the Royal University College of Fine Arts, Stockholm. She currently lives and works in Stockholm. Her paintings draws heavily from Goth culture. Noel Grunwaldt grew up in California and currently lives in upstate New York. Her delicate yet intricate works on paper evoke a fresh breathe of life to her dead subjects. Joy Garnett's paintings are based on images from media sources; the fiery paintings are based on the news reports on the Paris riots. Francesca Gabbiani's collages and Katrin Sigurdardottir's landscape sculpture come from both real and imagined landscapes.

Double X-rated: Where The Girls Are is curated by Amelia Abdullahsani.
