Stux Gallery presents Are We There Yet?, the premiere solo exhibition of New York-based artist
Don Porcella. The artist’s eclectic cultural inspirations result in surprisingly seamless encaustic paintings of subject matter as diverse as visitors from outer space and prophetic characters wandering amorphous landscapes. Also on view is a multifaceted installation of pipe-cleaner sculptures of soaring eagles, a television set, and an amputated foot still bleeding inside a pair of Nike Air Jordan’s.
