The Norblin Project

Reception: September 30, 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Norblin Project is a photographic essay shot in Warsaw the spring of 2006.
The Norblin Factory is a long unused factory site in the center of Warsaw, with decaying
machinery, now used as a technical museum and an occasional art site. In The Summer
of 2007, May 28 to the end of July, I shall do a large show in those buildings in Warsaw,
making very large images of very small elements of the site and hanging those images
throughout the factory hall to create a dramatic installation. The show will be curated
by Professor Jan Kubasiewicz and Josef Zuk Piwkowski.
The show at the Viridian Gallery is a sampling of those images. There will be 30
images created as 36" x 24" face-mounted prints and two large hangings, 100" x 44" on
canvas. The images are colorful extracts of the world that become abstractions through
their focus on detail.
