| ZONE: Chelsea CENTER FOR THE ARTS is a multifunctional cultural space in the Chelsea district of New York City, one of the world’s most exciting and influential art communities. Expanding the definition of an art space, this dynamic site evolves conceptually as it is reconfigured for a broad spectrum of cultural events. ZONE: Chelsea offers a schedule of fine art exhibitions and performances by both established and emerging artists. ZONE: Chelsea is event oriented, actively hosting lecture series, musical performances, fashion shows, book and independent film launches, media events, and seminars.
We see a vital role for ZONE: Chelsea on the international scene as a locus for interdisciplinary ventures and a forum for the exchange of ideas. As the parent project, ZONE: Chelsea will establish ZONE satellites around the world, presenting an unprecedented opportunity to cultivate a program which is truly global in content, as international and comprehensive as our audience. |
