Designer Todd Oldham will be hosting one of the most anticipated parties of
Art Basel Miami Beach on December 9th featuring an installation by gallery
artist Daniel Joseph entitled ³Drunken Letters to Stray Balloons.² Daniel
Joseph was selected as featured artist by the Wolfsonian Museum for the
event and his installation will be sponsored by sponsored by The Fairfax and
the Wolfsonian Museum. The event will be the first exposure to Oldhamıs
newest project on South Beach, The Fairfax.

Daniel Joseph's installation, ŒDrunken Letters to Stray Balloons,ı
encompasses personal ephemera, paintings, drawing, sculpture, and video-
considering the social rituals of celebration and partying as presented
through the artistıs personal history. The show will not only reflect on the
joys of crowding together, but will also explore the dark nature of those
crazy nights.

Daniel Joseph is a Brooklyn-based gallery artist. His highly successful
debut Chelsea solo exhibition this past June at BUIA ³I Donıt Even Have to
Ask, I Already Know,² received a great response and was reviewed in The New
Yorker and highlighted in The Village Voice and Time Out. In addition,
Joseph was a visiting lecturer this past September at The Art Institute of
Chicago for his collaboration on the well-received FOREST film project.
Daniel Josephıs works have been published in various books and art magazines
such as Heavy and K48 with other press credits including Paper Magazine,
Flaunt, Visionaire, Vice, The Daily News, The New York Times and The Village
Voice amongst others. We are very pleased to announce his upcoming
installation "Drunken Letters to Stray Balloons" at The Fairfax in Miami on
December 9th.
