Contemporary sculptor, Kim Dick creates sculptures that deviate from the standard notion of the female form. While continually pushing the limits of her materials and exploring the limitless range of the body, a familiar object, the body, is transformed into fantasy.
Born in Kentucky, but raised in Sarasota, Florida, Kim Dick’s earliest influence was found in nature. Whether at the ocean side or climbling trees, she recognized the diversity in her surrounding environments. Kim Dick graduated Magna Cum Laude from Clemson University, and is working towards a Master of Fine Arts at Winthrop University in South Carolina. Her work has been exhibited in galleries in Finland and the US. |
