"I'm not sure what this site is about but I feel the need to convey my personal experience about Louis. My memory of Louis is actually of Louis and Heidi. They were neighbors of mine, in Redondo Beach, that always welcomed me into their home whenever I came by. As an eight year old, I admit that I was oblivious to to beautiful color of his artwork hung throughout their home. I was actually more entranced by the ping-pong paddle Mexican folk-art toy that sat in their living. When I swirled the ball suspended under the paddle, the pulling strings forced little wooden chickens to hypnotically peck at the painted pile of seed.
They were wonderful folks. The next time I make my way to New York, I look forward to visiting the Luise Ross Gallery to catch up on some of my childhood memories."
