Lohin Geduld Gallery is pleased to announce that Natalie Charkow Hollander, sculptor, has been selected for the prestigious Guggenheim Fellowship Award for 2007. Ms. Charkow Hollander was one of 189 artists, scholars, and scientists chosen for the award from over 2800 applications.
Ms. Charkow Hollander had an enormously successful exhibition at Lohin Geduld Gallery in April 2004, which generated reviews in Art in America, The New York Observer, The New York Sun, The Brooklyn Rail, and the New Yorker. Her sculpture Nine Caves and Their Inhabitants from this exhibition was chosen as the title and cover image, as well as the subject of an included poem, for a volume of poetry published later in the year by Richard Howard.
We are excited for Ms. Charkow Hollander's acheivement, and look forward to seeing her future work. |
