Reykjavik Art Museum (Hafnarhúsi, Tryggvagötu, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland) will host an exhibition, titled Falling Water, of Pat Steir's recent large paintings. Known for her love of landscape and Chinese painting, the 10 paintings in this show call upon the Icelandic winter sky and the expansive seas, lakes, and rivers of the country as inspiration.

Equally as beautiful and complex as Steir's paintings is her print work. In conjunction with the museum show, i8 Gallery (Klappartstígur 33, Reykjavik, Iceland) will feature recent etchings by Steir. Opening February 3, 2007, the exhibit, Falling Stars and Waterfalls, is a collection of etchings made by Steir at Crown Point Press in San Francisco, CA. Over the span of her career Steir has created an extensive array of prints with Crown Point in addition to Landfall Press (Santa Fe, NM) and Pace Prints (New York, NY). Recent shows featuring her etchings and monoprints include Pace Prints, Northern Print in England, Crown Point Press and Boston University Gallery.

Rosenbaum Contemporary Gallery (608 Banyan Trail, Boca Raton, Florida) will present an exhibition of Pat Steir's monoprints, etchings and new paintings from February 1, 2007- March 30, 2007. Paintings courtesy of Cheim & Read Gallery, and monoprints and etchings courtesy of Pace Prints. Her recent paintings have been shown at Cheim & Read Gallery, Bentley Gallery (Scottsdale, AZ), Locks Gallery (Philadelphia, PA) Marilyn Kiang Gallery (Atlanta, GA). Pat Steir is scheduled to have an exhibit of new work at Cheim & Read Gallery, (NYC) in November 2007. Out now-Pat Steir, Installations (Edizione Charta), a book which chronicles Steir's lesser known but beautifully-documented installation work, spanning more than 30 years in sites all over the world.
