Simon Dybbroe Møller’s pieces deal with destruction, decay, and disappearance. He uses these processes (which connote negation or loss) as a source for something new and the starting point for artistic production. For example, at Kunst-Werke in Berlin, he exhibited a scenario of “constructed decay”. His “All Yesterday’s Parties” project focuses on the reproduction of art. By generating a temporal and spatial shift of context, the reproductions (which are the most often used tools for the reception of art) create a distanced, historically oriented view of art. | |
