Born in Enugu, Nigeria, Udeaku Chikezie is inspired by the diversity and peculiarities she finds in people, places, cultures and lifestyles. Through the style, texture, motifs, colors and rhythm of her work, she creates a balanced fusion between the contemporary and her ethnicity. Udeaku Chikezie is multitalented and is accomplished in textile, design, photography and Jewelry. And while a child this proved confusing she has come to view it as a gift and an opportunity to positively impact generations.
Udeaku Chikezie studied Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, She has participated in numerous exhibitions within Nigeria and her art can be found in private collections in the United States and Nigeria. | |
