Artist Statement:

From Can to Canvas...A drop of paint from the knife hovering gently over the canvas falls and swirls inside a puddle of another on the surface. The puddle echoes the shapes of human life and the drop it's impurities. From the union of the puddle and droplet comes the existence of we, characters, interacting with each other unaware of our creation. The creator sweeps over us with swift and accurate execution. The colors of my faces come out of the background with a wet paintbrush gliding across the surface of my skin. In the light the brush feels heavy pressing on my faces. The blue of my iris is glazed. Then as delicate as a lash a highlight hits my tear duct one on my nose and several on my lush lips. I'm beautiful. The gown that covers my bosom is crafted with care and elegance. I am woman and this man captures me. I love him. I will forever be in his debt.
